The Interface Builder generates ASP or DHTML forms. Using an LDA model that contains GUI records
as input to the Interface Builder (IB), GUI attributes are converted into ASP
or DHTML pages.
·
Features automatically detected from your LDA specification
are:
o
Combine multiple Fields into a text area
o
Drop down combo boxes
o
Hover text generated from field level help
o Client Side
scripts generated for local validation of required fields, numeric fields,
signed fields, etc
o User Defined
Field Level Client Side scripts generated for data manipulation at one of three
processing points: form rendering, form submission, and error processing such
as: date manipulation, etc
o
Cursor positioning (IE-WEBS only at this time)
·
ASP forms are used by Active LINC to web enable host LINC
applications.
·
DHTML forms are used by IE-WEBS to enable using LDA Run Time to deploy a production PC based
application.
·
IE-WEBS is the interface between Internet Explorer and LDA
Run Time and acts as the “router” using TCP-IP as the communication
interface. Once your LDA Run Time
environment is setup, IE-WEBS can be used for testing of LDA Run Time sessions
or for deploying small non-mission critical applications (15-20 ISPECs in size)
into production on PC platforms.
